It’s pretty weird, but the right hand side of your brain controls the left side of your body, and the left hand side of your brain controls the right side of your body. Who would have thought it?

To confuse things even more, the right side of the brain is better at controlling things like running, jumping or dancing the Macarena. – while the left loves puzzles, reading and going to the library.

When you have to figure something out and are finding it hard, it’s easy for the running, dancing side of the brain to try and take over and persuade you that you would be better off jumping up and down.

One way to boost your brain power, and stop this happening, is to “fire-up” both sides of your brain.

You can to this by sitting down and slapping your right knee with your left hand, and your left knee with your right hand. Keeping doing this, taking deep breaths and your brain will feel like it has been to the gym, and will be ready for anything!
