I had a good look round and was inspired by the creatively on show. It took me back to my time at the college, and my degree project “Self-heating Crockery” which ended up on Tomorrows World (heres an overly dramatic video I made about it). I even met prince Philip – who said I have a bulgy forehead – what a charmer.

I was struck by how thoughtful and considered he was, in answering questions, and in how he explained his method of designing things. He was also incredibly humble, especially given his many achievements.

During his discussion he said how it is easy to do “new and different” things, but hard to do “genuinely better” – what a wise fella and all-round hero!
