Baby thoughts

Are boys innately better at spatial awareness? (as studies seem to suggest.. although I have to boast I’m not a bad map reader myself). Or is it because boys develop a sense of their body in space from an early age through roughhousing and being tossed in the air while girls are cooed over?
As new Mum to a baby boy I’m interested in all the theories about how to boost brain power, concentration and learning! (and thanks concentrate for highlighting the beneficial effects of fishy diets. Now that baby has been weaned from breastmilk (a truly amazing product for brain development) I’m making sure to include lots of oily fish in his mushed up mash).
But back to boys and map reading. Our little bubba is in fits of giggles being tossed up, held upside down and spun like an airplane. So think we’ve got that side of his development covered. As for the cooing and talking, next time I’m at the toy shop I’ll make sure to stick a doll in with the blocks and cars so he can develop the more conversational side of his nature over tea with teddies.
